Just thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm a displaced Canuck who's been living in The Land Down Under for the last 22 years and loving it. I grew up in Toronto (east end Scarborough to be exact) and loved woodshop and metalshop when I was in junior high (I won the Industrial Arts award when I graduated). During high school I was more of an academic geek and drifted away from the manual arts side and towards science (marine biology, to be exact).
Anyway, fast-forward 35 years and I've finally got a nice-sized shed in the backyard, so I'm looking to get back into woodworking as a hobby/DIY. Upon joining this forum, I haven't bought a router yet; however, I'm looking for advice from anyone here. Plus, I'd be keen to learn any good tricks/skills with the router once I buy one. I haven't got a huge budget, but I'm also not a tradesman producing high-quality furniture. I'm just keen to develop my skills with a bit of practise.
anyway, I'll be posting my first question after posting this.
