Looking forward to your participation.
Filling out your profile to include (first name, tools and short bio is strictly (optional )but does help members to better relate to each other.

Welcome to the forum! When you get a minute complete your profile with first name so it clears the N/a in the side panel. You location is good to know, as well - helps us to help you sometimes.

What sort of projects are you planning?

Hi (Earl?) and welcome.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great folks and tons of information. Ask questions- that's how we learn. I retired in September, 2009. Took me two days to adjust- Saturday and Sunday. You will find yourself busier than when you were working.

Glad you decided to join the fun. LOTS of expertise around here for questions. Attached is a pdf of the 17 Plus things that helped me get up to speed. It includes pictures. Hopefully it will help you the same way, and maybe save a few bucks over the long haul. The article covers about a decade of getting my shop together, you don't have to do this all at once. And Stick will likely be along shortly with a LOT of information on routing and safety.
