Ah, bit of a drive from Newcastle, NSW.

Still, I reckon there should be a get-together one day of all the Australian-based members.

A very warm welcome to the forum, I'd invite you to my shed but for the distance to Perth! Please do complete your profile including your first name and the tools at your disposal to help us give meaningful answers to any questions you may have. There are members here with a wide variety of skills, all who are willing to pass on their knowledge, and of course we would appreciate you passing on advice to other members.

I may get to your shed one day Harry, I travel to Perth quite regularly. I work offshore from Broome but overnight in Perth before every trip.

I look forward to hearing from you, just email me via the forum and spend a day with me.

As for the router table, have you looked on Gumtree, over time I've seen quite a few router tables and routers.
The Carbitool one whilst basic, appears to have everything that's necessary and at $348.90, not too expensive.
