Welcome to the forum, Brian! Add your first name to your profile to clear the N/a in the side panel. Add your location to your profile, as well.

We do like photos so show us your shop, tools, projects, etc. whenever you're ready. What sort of woodworking are you planning or doing?

Hello N/A and welcome to the forums...
We're happy you found us...

About that inquisitiveness of yours... We are all over that, we can help, we can, w/ have some ''light reading'' for you...
Gathered together is a bunch of pertinent/relative information in this here link ... You should find everything (at least most) quite useful, a lot of help and get you off to a running start in the world of routers... Enjoy...

Do take some time and read the safety PDF's... PLEASE!!!
Blood and trips to the ER, we find, are very annoying... Not to mention – expensive...

We do welcome all questions on about any subject you can come up w/ too....
Not only that, we excel at spending your money...

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...
If only new layers hadn't been added....

Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!

Welcome aboard Brian. As you can see there are some very responsive members here. Knowing your location makes it easier to advise on things such as brands and models numbers as they aren't usually globally available. It also tells us you voltage requirements.

Welcome. This is the right place. Do read the collection of pdfs Stick posted, they are as good as any book you might find on woodworking. Here is updated version of the 18 things pdf that list the things that helped me accelerate my learning curve. It covers a period of about a dozen years, which were my highest earning years, so don't think you have to accumulate everthing all at once. Hopefully it will help you avoid some costly mistakes as well.
