Welcome to the forum! Add your first name to your profile to clear the N/a in the side panel and so we'll know what to call you. Add your location to your profile, as well - you said Canada but you show US; did you move?
We do like photos so show us your shop, tools, projects, etc. whenever you're ready. What sort of woodworking are you planning or doing?
Hi David,
Sorry for that.. it’s now updated.. I am in Ottawa, Ontario... will post some pictures soon.
I am still setting up my shop but updated my current tools.
Currently into cabinet making as I plan to update the home - bathrooms, kitchen, mud room etc. When I find time, which is very rare these days, I dabble into furniture making.
Welcome. Here's an article on the 18 things that really helped me to speed up my learning curve. The pdf is an updated version and I hope it will help you avoid making some of the expensive errors I made.
Welcome aboard Tom. You'll find us a fairly harmless bunch with some knowledge on woodworking. Collectively I don't know of a more knowledgeable group that can answer most of your questions and certainly offer many opinions. Don't be shy and ask what's on your mind and post some pictures of your work and what may be causing you to think too hard. We will likely have a few suggestions.
Thanks.. I will be sure to ask. I am diving through the forums first as I am starting to plan a cabinet for my Jessem setup that I am putting together.
Hi welcome
I am a bit of a newbie here too but the members are helpful and the topics really interesting.
I got to spend a couple of weeks in Ottawa in the early 90's at a Mitel school. It is a really beautiful city.
Welcome from a neighbour, I'm in western Quebec near the Ontario border.
Not sure but I think there is another member in your area. I go to Ottawa often to see family or to go to Northern Ontario.
