Default plexiglass and wood

Hi, I am hoping some out there has worked with mixed materials like this:

I am making a canoe with a stitch and glue method. I would like to make the bottom panels out of a clear acrylic , maybe polycarbonate to see the fish etc.

I don't know if you can use epoxy and fiberglass tape to seal the connecting seams the way I do with wood stitch and glue kayaks. watcha think?

IPS Weldon 16 is an adhesive that bonds acrylic or plexiglass (same thing) to wood and many other materials. It's thick like a gel and comes in a tube. I've used it many times andit is very easy to use.
