I have just acquired a Freud FE 2000E Router with a few bits. I am trying to learn the basics as to what I should buy as to a router table and a basic set of bits. Your guidance would be appreciated.

Hello Nick! Welcome to the Router Forum. First, have you looked around at tables? There are a good number of them out there. What features do you want? Have you looked at all the plans that are out there,? You can easily build one with a few normal tools, including your router, table saw squares, etc. If you are wanting to but, the best one out there, and the one that the Router Workshop guys use is the Oak Park. There's is of solid construction, and from what i gather, it locks together, and can be disassembled to move As for bit,s i would but a few good bits, a 1/4 in.straight bit, a 1/2 in straight bit, and a down spiral bit. For a set, what some of the guys are doing is ordering from E=bay. Oak-Park.com This is the site for the table, and check out the videos of the details on some of the tools. Good luck, and Happy Routing

Thank you for your assistance. I have already bought some bits on EBay and my router, but am looking for a basic bit set. The Oak Park site is a great referral.
