Default Old timer upgrading shop

I am 68 y/o, working 2/3 time now, and have some energy and interest in upgrading a tired old small shop. Just putting a new table on my '71 Craftsman radial arm saw. Have installed a new fence on my Delta contractor's saw, and a new top for my work bench I built in 1971. I am gearing up to make some small woodworking projects, and will have to redo the shop to fit the set of small power tools I am accumulating.

Will probably buy another router or two to compliment my 1979(?) Skil model 295 router, which is still in mint shape. No questions yet, because I haven't got to the router part of the project. Plan to read the discussion in the forums for ideas and stimulation. Will be building some minor projects before the shop is very far along, figure just fixing up the shop will take a few years, since it will be interspersed with making some utilitarian items.

Thanks for the hospitality.

Jim

Welcome, Jim! Glad to have you join us. I just turned 66 last August and there is still a lot of saw dust left to make.

Welcome Jim, Glad to hear of you. It is good to make a few changes around the shop. I think that it inspires a person i would like to do that as well, and i would if i was able. a few changes as i have made helps. Enjoy the shop, and am waiting to see some of your work.
