Thumbs up Hi Everybody from Kalgoorlie Western Australia

Hi everybody,

I am one of the older brigade just getting into woodwork in a minor way. I have a bit of gear and about to buy a second router. I have a Triton 1400 in a table and hope to buy a Festool 1400 maybe in the next day or two unless I am talked out of it.
Why Festool? Well because I like nice gear and FS seems to have a top following.
I am driving to Perth our Capital city tomorrow (6 hours drive) to take my Wife to see a surgeon regarding possible operation and will wait till after the consult to see whether it is advisable to spend up at the moment.

I have been reading the thread re HarrySin and must pass on my best wishes to Harry.

Regards to All,
Raymond.

Welcome to the forum Raymond and thank you for your good wishes. Once I get back to my normal cheerful, albeit sometimes controversial self, I hope to get to know you better as we're almost neighbours! Festool make excellent tools, but whether they're worth the money is debatable.

Greetings Raymond and welcome to the router forums. The only thing I can tell you about Festool is I put my hands on one, never ran it, but the way it felt if I could afford one I'd buy one just from that one little touch. It just felt right if you know what I mean.

Good to see you back ! Being controversial gives people a point to ponder. I have presented you with a new eye chart---let me know if it works for you. Frank
