Talking Xribble

Hi guys,

I'm quite new at woodworking although I was around my dad who did it all the time.

I'd like to pick up some tips and tricks from some of the experienced players so I don't work for nothing or hurt myself.

I dream of starting to build guitars and touchstyle instruments. (Touchstyle is an instrument you tap with both hands and it has anywhere from 6 to 14 strings. It looks like a guitar but you play it with both hands on it.)

I did a year of machinists training so I do have some experience cutting different materials.

Peace,
Xribble

Welome Eric,
Lots of experience here. I'm a Machinist/woodworker also, to be honest it is not the best combo, we tend to be too exact. Can't tell you the number of times I fiddle with something because its a 32th off.

Bob, don't you ever sleep? it's 4am!! Thought I was the only one getting up this early, pain gets me up, what's your excuse?

Cut it twice, and it's still too short!

Hi Harry,

Just always have been an early riser all my life. I love having the world to myself an hour before everyone else gets to stiring.

Greetings Eric and welcome to the router forum. Don't pay any attention to those two guys, their just old, and neither is an early riser.
