Default Looking for tips

Greetings. I've been an amateur woodworker for over 30 years, but find that there is always something new to learn. I have made a few major pieces including a very nice vanity for a vessel sink for my daughters remodeled and expanded bathroom. I am currently working on a pie safe for storage in my wifes kitchen. With new appliances received for Christmas, additional storage will be welcome. Not finding a plan that I really liked, I have designed one to fit the area that is available. It will be red oak and red oak ply. Now I'm looking for tips on dealing with the edges of the ply, first with jointing.
