Default Penn State Industries

I am a wood turner from Oregon. I use mostly a special seasoned Madrone root burls. I found your site by researching for information about PSI. The post that I had seen deals with PSI poor service. I have ordered from them for years and it is the same old hassle. I only buy from them when I have to. This last order was about 2 weeks in coming.. Craft Supplies USA ships the same day as ordered. I don't remember this ever happening with Penn State Industries. There is always the shipping notice that seems to get longer as time goes along.. It also seems to me that the kit quality isn't as good as from other dealers. Their business model is a mystery to me.

Welcome James, Are you ordering pen kits? I ordered once from PSI & had no problems. I order more from Craft Supply & Berea Hardwoods for kits. I also like Penturners Produducts, & Exotic Blanks. They all have given good service. If I need something same day I will run to Rockler or WoodCraft to pick up as they are both local for me but cost a little more as they are resellers for previous.

Have a nice & safe day!

Thank you for the welcome. I have bought all kinds of kits, chucks, wood, etc from PSI. The overall service in the last 5 years has been the poorest of all the companies I deal with. My rule is if I need it in a hurry go somewhere else. Craft Supplies USA gives me the best service of all the mail order catalogs.
