Hello, all. Nice to have found this active forum.
While I don't expect to live here, it's nice to know there's an active forum dedicated to one of the most useful and versatile tools in the shop.
I've been making sawdust since I was about four years old. My Dad (and his dad, and my grandfather on my Mom's side) were all woodworkers, so I guess it's second nature. Dad is now 97, and up until this past year, was still turning out projects. Ain't it a great hobby (or career)?
I try to spend at least a bit of time each day in my shop - if doing nothing more than sharpening or cleaning up - just to wind down from a day spent behind a keyboard. I am about to start on a pretty aggressive project, however, which is how I stumbled upon this forum. It's time for a kitchen overhaul, and I just can't see spending thousands on some cheap cabinets. This looks like it's going to be a fun project, and I can't wait to get going!
Cheers and best wishes!
