Default Newbie from canda, eh!

I just finished building a new door for my daughter's china cabinet using a flimsy (ie: cheap) store-boght plastic router table and old 1/4" B&D router. This was my first attempt at "furniture" quality work and it turned out OK but the experience really highlighted the shortcomings of my routing equipment. I went looking for some advice for a better router and, especially, a better table, and that's why I'm here. Lots to look at and some great advice, so I think I'll be spending some time here. Let the chips fly!!!

Hi Andy. Welcome to our little corner of the 'net.

Build your own table, it's easier then you think.. not to mention much cheaper. Check out this thread: wanted pictures of your table Lots of good ideas for tables and fences there.
