Default new to forum/ quarter round query

hi all...am 1 year rookie to woodworking and am jumping in BOTH feet.
i'm trying to make what would appear as "quarter - round" finish on 1/2 " thick pine...i'm struglling with the correct cut on the router...1 is too deep and leaves a step on both ends...too shally only basically "shapes" the corner...i'm using 1/4 " roundover bit...ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!

It sounds like you need a larger diameter bearing. One that will not leave the step at the bottom.
