Default New from Australia

Hi guys, my name is John and I am from Brisbane, Australia. Woodworking has been a hobby of mine since I was about 15 years of age. I started making models and then went on to other things like making boxes and some furniture. I also do some woodturning, mostly turning pens but have done a few bowls.

I use the Gifkins dovetail jig with my router for my dovetail joints and I am very happy with the results. I am always willing to learn new things so... here I am.

Welcome to the forum John,

There are a growing number of members here from Australia, and we are all one big happy family.

I hope you will be as solid a contributor here as you are in the Aussie forum.

I also am a fan of the Gifkins Dovetail Jig as well as the Oak Park box joint jigs.

Just take time to get to know us.

James

John Welcome to the forum; there are many here who can assist you getting what you want to do with a router. Just as a reminder; there is more that can be achieved when the router is held in the plunge mode, with the aid of template guides. Check out the material below.
