Hello - I'm looking forward to picking brains and sharing some of mine. I'm particularly interested in Overhead Pin Router knowledge. I want to use mine to carve guitar necks - and many other uses as well.
Thanks...

Slohan Welcome to the forum; unfortunately I have never used the overhead Pin Router system though I have been using routers for over 40+ years You will find there are many here who can assist you getting what you want to do with a overhead pin router. Just as a reminder; there is more that can be achieved when the router is held in the plunge mode, with the aid of template guides. Check out the material below.

I have used hand held routers for years and recently purchased two used Jet Overhead Pin Routers. They are heavy duty workhorse machines I plan to use for guitar construction. I got a super deal on them and will probably be selling one of them in the future. The guy wanted to get rid of them both so I got a deal I really couldn't refuse!
These things are great! Like big router table or shaper only upside down so you can see the routing taking place, unlike the situation with a router table.
So have any of you used one or are you familiar with them?
