Default self introduction

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but I've been a wood hacker for years. I'm currently an electronics technician working for a company that manufactures nuclear fuel assemblies. I've nearly finished building a WTC (widescreen transport cart) for moving my TV out to the garage so I can connect it to my home theater system for viewing live concert videos. My audio system is too large to bring it in the house and I lost the battle with my better-half over purchasing a wide-screen projector rather than a TV. I feel I've won the war when I gain authorization to make the 52" widescreen portable. She thinks I was just joking. My next project will be the construction of 2 mid/bass tower speakers, each consisting of six 8" professional grade speakers mounted in a vertical array capable of dissapating 1200 watts each. The cabinet construction will be greatly simplfied by the extensive use of my Porter-Cable plunge router. But first I will fabricate a decent circle cutting jig. Glad to be here. I'm sure there is much to learn in this place.

Greetings John from a retired electronics tech. about a third of which was spent repairing esoteric Hi-Fi equipment. Do please tell me how you could stand to be in the same street, let alone the same room with sound pressure levels created from a dissipated 1200watts, and I presume that you're talking RMS power. All that aside, any woodworking problems that you may encounter are only a question away. I'm sure that you are going to enjoy this friendly and knowledgeable forum.
