Talking Apprentice ?

Hi everyone, my name is Ron from the UK, was introduced to this site some months ago by a friend from Florida USA whilst serving in the middle east, woodworking has always been a mistrey up to then, viewed a few video's on the net and now completly hooked on the idea, can't wait to get started just getting a few tools together, use this site, then dive straight into it, my first project will be simple, (I hope) making an painting easle then a router table.

Ron Welcome to the forum; there are many here who can assist you getting what you want to do with a router. Just as a reminder; there is more that can be achieved when the router is held in the plunge mode, with the aid of template guides. Check out the material below.

Hi Ron:

Start with the router table (tons of examples on the forum) and then use that to make your easel.

Ron, welcome to the forum, you will find that making the easel AFTER making a simple router table will make your task so much easier. Anyone not capable of knocking together a simple table is not, in my opinion, ready to use a router, which can be a very dangerous tool in the wrong HANDS.
