Default Hello fellow members

I am new to this site. I have an interest in woodworking in general. I drove a tractor trailer for 30 years till the old ticker said it was time to take it easy.
I have a few woodworking tools & I was thinking about trying to build a wooden steering wheel for my 1947 Bombardier B12 snowmobile. I still have the old frame of the wheel & was wondering if anyone can give me a few pointers on how to do it. Thanks in advance from The Old Trucker.

Welcome to our little corner of the 'net.

Where 'bouts in the Great White North are you?

If you were to post pics of what's left of your steering wheel, perhaps someone could provide a solution for you.

Thanks for the comeback BrianS. I have a pic of it. I live in Newfoundland, Canada. In the first pic is an original wheel & in the second pic is mine. I now have everything striped off it and all is there now is the metal ring & fingers.
Any & all ideas are welcome. OT.

Newfoundland? Lovely province.

Can't offer much help on the wheel.. thinking maybe a bullnose bit might provide the smooth round surface you need. I'm sure someone will drop in with some advice.
