Let me tell you what I am doing here. I have devised some word games of a competitive sort - preferring games where there is a winner, which also stretch the intelligence a bit.
So far I have introduced 3 such games on several sites: a fiction site, a chess site, and a general forum site. The game was judged to be very cool by the winners of the first two games. The third game has just ended, but unfortunately nobody seemed to catch on to the idea behind the game.
My problem has been this : it has been impossible to attract more than 3 or 4 contestants to any of these games.
I have come here because I see you have a very active word game section. These are ongoing games with no winners apparently.
My games will be different: they start on a fixed date, and proceed daily until finished.
How my games work: each player submits a list of words every day (the number of words in a list varies from game to game), and scores points for every "correct" word. Exactly what constitutes a "correct" word is for him to figure out from the daily scoreboard showing all successful words so far.
Any questions so far?
What I would like is some response, from anybody who feels interested in participating, (I would certainly like to see more than 4 entrants!)
Then I might be able to gauge the chances of a good kick-off.
