Talking Hello

Hi Everyone! I fall into that category of I need to get things done and don't want to pay someone else to do it! LOL Hope I am not alone. Well I am more than sure that my skills and knowledge are severely lacking. However I am willing to try and hopefully learn to improve. I purchased my router a Hitachi variable speed with the plunge router option a few years ago so that I could router out the hinge slots and door lockplate slots. I probably don't have the correct terminology down. The results were far from perfect but I can live with them. Also purchased a Hitachi miter saw. Nice saw, both had great reviews and I have no complaints with the tools just the operator. So now I am a grandfather and what do grandfathers do? Well in my case I hope to amaze my grand-kids one of these days with my woodworking skills among other things. Although I have to admit if I was tested today I would probably fail! Ah this wonderfully internet! I see all sorts of wonderful projects that people have made and I have Ooo'd and awed over them. So I thought well why not give it a go. So Now I feel that I need to make a table for my router. I too am short on space and am looking to build one that I can fold down in some fashion so that I can store it against the garage wall when not it use. After I complete my router table I have no idea what I will attempt next. Oh I forgot to mention that I am working on a wood working table currently. Although progress is slow I have made a lot of sawdust. I hope to have it finished in a week or two if the wife will quit adding other chores to my daily activities. Okay enough of my first post. I'll look around and hopefully post some more tonight!
