Default I cannot believe I stumbled across this place!

Hello fellow woodworkers! I'm a mid 30's guy from Scandinavia. I almost had to pinch myself when I saw this forum, thinking a place like this is too good to be true! I'm a happy amateur when it comes to woodworking, and I just recently convinced myself I now need a router. After a few days of trying to educate myself as to which model to get I find THIS PLACE!

Thanks to everyone who help make this place a reality!

Hi Dave,

I just noticed your avatar. With a set of skis like that, one can only imagine what the cam board looks like.....

Cool Skis

James as you can see by the avatar. I use a interior door as a cam board and then it's not wide enough.

Bill, help your self.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Gotta love the router on ski's. Every tool should get at least one skiing holiday in their life.

I finally decided on a router, got a great deal on a Bosch POF 1400 ACE. I don't think that model is available in the US but I'm sure there's an equivalent version. I'd rather have gotten a Makita or maybe a Bosch from their blue line (not sure if they make that distinction in the US but in Europe Bosch differentiate between the green (home market) and blue (pro market) lines) but the deal on the 1400 ACE was too good to pass on (one third of what I would pay in Norway, including shipping)!

Now, on to build my router table.... I've been sifting through the "Post pictures of your router table" thread for a few days now...
