Welcome Paolo! There are many members here who much prefer the metric system. You are in good company.

Dear all
thanks for your warm welcome.
About imperial measures I was joking, I know it isn't a real problem, because you can take ideas and techniques indipendently from the measuring. The only real problem is in the purchasing in US or UK market bits and tools! And I'm very fascinated from the quantity and quality of the web-shop you can find in US or Canada or UK compared to the poor Italian (and European) market!

Well, we've got to do something. This country is so vast, I have to drive over an hour to find a reasonable hardware store and 5 hours to find one for service in my language. That gives one a lot of time to contemplate alternatives and "fixes."

Now as for routers, I have to drive 10 to 12 hours to find any sort of inventory or understanding what a router is and what it does. The only advantage to where I live is that there are lots of farms and thus lots of machine shops.

I also find a great lack of information in any language but English. Too bad because there are marvelous craftsmen in every language.

We look forward to learning of techniques and methods in your country.
