Default First Post...first past the post...last post... post haste...repent at leisure...

Hi everyone and greetings from sunny Devon, UK.
I'm just setting up a minimalist shop at home for hobby stuff (to start with) and have built the knockdown router table from Fine Woodworking (not allowed to post URL yet!!??)

Now I want to try my hand at a few dovetails but can't afford a jig. I would love to make my own they don't look too tricky but I guess they need to be super accurate.
Any advise

Thanks James, seems like a friendly bunch of timber obsessed individuals, I have a feeling I'll like it here.
I've updated profile as advised.

Hi Howard, thanks for the heads up, profile now updated.

John had the right idea, I love the world too, just don't need fairy stories to justify it. My idea of heaven is a lumber yard... but does heaven have lumber yards?

Thanks Jerry, Its a great forum.

If Gods plans are that permanent, where are all the sacrificial goat stalls? Human understanding, although still in its infancy, moves on. We used to believe in many gods, now a lot of you believe in "The One God" (although that's a bit of a grey area for Catholics). I just believe in one god less.

Don't rely on the next world, love this world.

Welcome to the forum Terence, yes it is a very friendly knowledgeable place to be with members of all skill levels and religious beliefs, which we respect. As for myself, well I'm at that age when it seems to be a good idea to start hedging my bets!

Thanks for the welcome Harry, You don't exactly look ready for a bit of subterranean joinery yet!
I'll try to keep the preaching to a minimum (if they do he he!).

Hi Terrence and welcome to the forum. I feel that you are confused as I see no one preaching anything in this thread. It would be good for you to learn what a signature line is, none of which were directed toward you nor needed your reply. The quickest way to get a time out here is to enter into politics and religion. Please read the forum rules for further clarification.

We look forward to sharing router and woodworking related discussions with you.
