Default another newbee well sort of...

I`m steve, disabled vet 59. I have a shark pro., and have been learning by trial and error. Some work comes out great others well lets just say, I`m glade I live in the country and can build fires. I use to make a good living as an artist freelance. I had a 40 ft. Motorhome and a 25 ft. tag along, that carried my harley and supplies. My wife and I truly had it made and loved our life. Then about ten years ago, agent orange took its toll. Now I`m lucky on good days to fed myself. I went into depression for a long time. Then got my head out of my ass and found out about cnc machine, and learned how to use a computer. I use hexagon to design 3D items, that I machine or should I say try to. OK heres my question to you pros. out there. I am having problems that I cant get a handle on. The router likes to carve just fine then al at once decide to do its own thing, like drill to china, or make a right turn and go back to center. Things that turn your design and marterial into scrap real quick. It is beging to cost some things I`m running out of, money and patiens. I cleaned the control box inside, I rechecked all conections, its been cold so I put heat in. I have had the cnc for about one year. H E L P...

Hello steve! I want to welcome You to the forum! I am disabled, and know about all the hard dealing! As far as the CNC, I don't have a real clue, except that I think that it is a not the CNC's fault, but sounds like a bad connects ion between the computer, or a program fault. tHAT IS WHAT WOULD MAKE SINCE IN mY LITTLE BRAIN, but others may be able to get You back on the road in a short time. Hang in there, and My prayers are with You!

Default I think I did it.....

hey guess what? I might of found my problem! My router, it started running kinda odd. It would run slow, then speed up, then it stopped. Hummm sounds like a problem to me. I think it was causing a power flux too. I had two of the 1 hp, bosch routers. I cleaned it up, put it back together and, it ran like a champ for a whole 10 minutes, then nothing. Hummmmmm, brushes are shot, in both of course. Oh well didn`t want to put work in the show anyways. Yeah right!
