I am new to the RouterForums and look forward to expanding my knowledge and skill with the router. I have always enjoyed woodworking by producing various furniture pieces and home improvement projects. I am now turning 60 have built my dream shop look forward to spending a great deal more time perfecting my skill and simply enjoying the art and craft of woodworking. My routing experience has been primarily hand held applications incorporating various homemade jigs and fixtures along the way. I have tried a couple of inexpensive router tables and even attempted to build on of my own but have never been satisfied the the accuracy. I have just recently purchase a Kreg complete router table and fence and will dedicate a Proter Cable 7518 router to it. I also purchased the Kreg router lift. I plan on building a dust enclosure for the stand and thought I would ask if anyone has previously done such a project and would pass on any does or don't learned in the process.

Hi d, and welcome.

Regarding dust collection, I'd be surprised if Kreg doesn't offer a dust-collection chute as an accessory. Most are little plastic chutes with wings that slip under the knobs on the back of the fence, and designed to attach your shop vac hose for dust collection.
