Default Just wanted to say hello.....

Just wanted to see a few reviews/opinions on some routers, currently have a Porter Cable 690 - 8.0 amp motor (screamer). Would like another mid-size router, but can't decide on a brand - either Dewalt or Bosch. Don't want a Hitachi - too hard on the eyes, don't want a Festool - hard on the wallet, and Makita has a rep for bad high speed bearings.

Welcome to the Router Forum Luciano
Glad to have You join use. Have You ever thought of the,Craftsman routers? The red tops have had a good rating on price, and also on guality. Might chech them out. There are lots of them on the market The two base system will probably be under $100.00 !

Greetings and welcome to the router forum. Thank you for joining us, and remember to have fun, build well and above all be safe. Ditto on the Craftsman, I picked up the router about lost a year ago for 80.00, couldn't beat the price, plus it surprised me by being a very good router.

Thanks for help, I've looked at the Craftsman and they seem like a nice machine - the price is also quite reasonable. Might have to do some early Christmas shopping!
