Default I'm new to this

I have ordered a MLCS Router Table Top and Fence with 1/4" Thick Aluminum Insert Plate and a Triton TRA001/TRC001 3-1/4-Horsepower Precision Router. Does anyone have any hints or suggestions about making them work successfully?

Hi, I only joined this group the other day myself. I have been using "woodworking tools for a number of years. The first rule to follow is whatever you are doing, do it safely. It is a lot less painful that way, I know! I was not using a push stick with the table saw. Cutting the last slat for the rack in a coffee table. I still don't really know what happened (it was over in a split second) and I had luckily only 2 fingers laid open but still attached to my hand. 8 stitches in one finger (3 through the nail to hold the finger end in place) and 6 stitches in the other to close that wound. 3 courses of anti-biotics and 6 weeks out of action, for a lack of concentration and not following simple safety precautions. So safely and wisely are 2 very easy rules to follow to help keep you in one piece!

Greetings Dan and welcome to the router forum. Thank you for joining us, and remember to have fun, build well and above all be safe.

Dan speaks well, it happens in less than a heart beat, but the damage is for life. I too was fortunate to keep the fingers, however the the ring finger still does not bend correctly and hates cold weather.
