Default FiremanJim

Hi, I'm new to the forums. Heard about them on Woodnet and since I just got a new router, thought this might be a good place to learn some things.

I'm in Newark, DE, retired scientist and volunteer firefighter. I don't have a lot of woodworking experience, but I've recently convinced the wife that cars are made to be outside and woodworking machines aren't so we needed to convert the garage to a workshop.

Hopefully i won't ask too many dumb questions.

Greetings Jim and welcome to the router forum. Thank you for joining us, and remember to have fun, build well and above all be safe.

Thank you for your service as a fireman, I am still in awe of those courageous fireman on 9/11 that went into those buildings and gave their "last full measure of devotion" to try and save even one life. Again thank you for your service, I salute you and all who have served.

Welcome, Jim. As the saying goes, the only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.

Woodworking is the process of making soft things more useful by modifying them with hard things that are sharp. The trick is to keep the soft things from including parts of your body.
