Hello, I just got my dads old stanly router. mod 90008 .02 7/8 hp and need some info and parts. First I am trying to date this model . I think 1960,s as thats when I remember him using it to make formica tables.
Second is parts. It works fine but the button on the top to lock the shaft is worn out. Any help on where to find one would be helpful. I would like it to work as I try to include his tools in my projects.

Thomas,
I have the same router that I inherited from my Dad as well. I can't help you with parts as mine has never needed anything other than brushes. Did you try googling it? As for the vintage, I believe mine is from the early 50's though I'm not sure how long that model was made.
Good luck with the search.

Good Morning Tomas It can be hard to find the replacement parts. I know that there are some here on the forum! If You have a appliance and small tool store near You, They can often find a close replacement switch that will fit in the space. I have My Dads electric drill, and brought it in by the store and they found a switch to replacement but it also had an adjustable speed control switch. That drill works so much better than before. Worth a try.
