Default New woodworm

Hi. I'm a 60-ish Canadian Civil Servant, getting ready to retire. I've been doing basic woodworking projects for a couple of years, having equipped myself with a table saw, router and some other interesting tools over the last couple of years. I've always been inclined to make or repair stuff myself rather than pay someone, and I'm hoping to make some serious furniture in the next few years. I have built some basic outdoor furniture and some odds and ends for the kids.

I acquired a lathe this summer, but as it was missing some parts, and had non-standard fittings, I've only just got it ready to use. Also, I need to sharpen my lathe tools. As I live in Canada and have to work either outside or in a small, unheated shed, I won't be doing much other than learn as much as I can between now and spring, but I'm looking for advice and inspiration.
