I am looking for a fool-proof, quick coping sled plan.

The quickest is a squared up 1X4 backer. Set the work against the backer, push both against the fence and then, push it through.
Everything else are variations of this set up.
You can glue the 1X to a panel, add clamps and a handle and, on and on.
