Default Howdy

I'm new here so take it easy on me. I'm interested in making wooden signs, but I need to learn from all of you the ins and outs. My equipment presently consist of a MasterCarver rotary tool, Dewalt scroll saw, skil table saw, small table router, bandsaw, table top drill press, belt sander and a portable dust collector. I would like to set up my garage (one car) so that I can make wooden signs. I accept all inputs with a smile and a Thank You. I want to buy the correct router and accesories to do the job.

I just did a search for "sign making" and quite a bit came up. Maybe try there and go through the posts to see what others have said. The little bit of sign makingh I've done wouldn't be much help to you. The only advice I can give is to not buy too big of a router. You want something you can manhandle.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
