Hi from the Scottish Highlands.
Came across the forum while looking for some routing information I needed and am hoping to make full use of the experienced folk on here.
I'm hoping to learn routing as I've had my eye on my husbands ELU MOF for a while now and I lurve woodworking and furniture makeovers among other stuff.

Looking forward to learning!

Welcome Linda. Our forum is world wide but the majority of our members are in the US and Canada. As you might expect a couple of the routing terms are different such as what we call a rabbet you would call a rebate. There are also big differences in price and product line but beyond that the routing skills are the same. Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome

Mike, what you call a Rabbet and we call a rebate I am most likely to call a cut out.

Everything I've made I've made by just turning on the tool and making the groove or hole I want, I've never learned any of the technical terms for any of it. lol.
I think I'm going to find that learning some of these terms is going to make my life soooooo much easier!
