Default Just joined

I just joined the Router Forum. I have used routers off and on since the mid 1970's and purchased a Porter Cable 7518 router in the late 90's to make some raised cabinet doors. I had to make a router table to get started and was very pleased with the way they came out.

Unfortunately, we moved to a smaller home shortly after that I had no room for a workshop until recently. We moved back to upstate NY and I now have a workshop in the basement and have built a new router table. My first project was to build a door to the workshop. Simple 2x8 top, bottom, sides and middle support and 1/4" panels.

Looking forward to doing more projects soon. Unfortunately, I now have a problem with the router and base but will post more about that later.

I haven't had to go through that, but I have had nightmares about it. It is horrible!

Welcome Tom, my shop (so called) is a 20' x 16' shed...So everything is built on work tables or bases of some sort with lockable casters, when need to work ,have to plan and constant setup and move things around, so I know the feelingof working in a small shop space
