Default introduce myself

Hello fellow forum members.

I retired about 10 years ago and currently live in Bella Vista, AR along with thousands of other retirees and wood working is one of my hobbies. I have been finishing a wood shop in the basement and am about ready to resume my efforts. We moved here in March of this year (2011) and that is reason I am just completing the shop. I have four routers with a wide selection of bits, both half inch and quarter inch. Since moving here I have been able to acquire an excellent router station which was designed by Norm Abrams of the New Yankee Work Shop and This old House. The man I bought it from said his mother had ordered Norm's plans and had a cabinet maker build the station for his father. It was equipped with a large commercial grade Craftsman router and table top. The router is variable speed and self contained height adjustment. Station is fully equipped with several drawers and cabinets to store and organize portable routers, bit selection, and accessories. It has an excellent dust collection port and I have installed a dust collection system to hook up for clean and dust free operation.

I have all related power tools to support router station and main projects completed in recent years has been bookcase, meat smoker (built from cherry wood for enhanced flavor---much better than metal), desk organizer (built on runs of eight---this provides much better effiency and speed)numerous jewelry boxes, mens type valet, and various other projects featured in Wood Magazine in past 15 years.

One of the routers I have purchased used recently (Craftsman Professional Mod. 315-275000) I am disassembling for cleaning and maintenance. Having trouble removing upper housing due to lock out lever. Can anyone tell how to release the lever handle so I can remove this upper housing?

I plan to spend time on the forum and have years of experience so hope to be able to help someone in return.
