Hey, I'm a certifiable router fanatic, and have been lurking here for a while. I finally signed up for an account a while back, but I don't think I've ever posted an intro.

I've been woodworking as a serious hobby for about 10 years now, started as a necessity due to moving into an old house. However, I can proudly say that my first power tool was a router (about 15 years ago) . . . and I got an awful lot of mileage out of that first 1.5 hp plunge router, even if it was a Ryobi (back when Ryobi made some pretty decent tools).

Now, it seems like I have a router made by every manufacturer except maybe Festool and Milwaukee, and the herd just seems to multiply. There definitely isn't a more versatile tool in the shop!

Anyway, thanks for letting me introduce myself!

Homer, aka Burl-e because I like the figure of burled wood, and I'm not exactly a short, spindly fella!

Default Welcome!

Burl-e,

Welcome aboard!

I'm new here also but I only have 2 routers and have yet to fire them up but I'm hoping to get some guidance along the way here, if needed.

Get inthere, Steve, and have a go, but also make or buy a table, this is invaluable.
