Default Hello

Hello to all. I'm new to this site.
Two questions:
1. How good does a spiral Mostising bit with and up cut works with a drill press?
2. What size in spiral mostising bit diameter would worker with 3/4" stock?

G'day Tom

Welcome to the forum.

for my2 cents - I believe that a router bit will not work in a drill press - much too slow.

Hi Tom, welcome.
Usually router bits in the drill press do not work very well & visa versa. Router bits are designed to turn at much higher rpm's. Drill bits are designed to turn at much lower rpm's. There are two different designs in tooling.

Have a nice & safe day!

Hi Tom

You can get one that will work in the drill press, it's made to run a 560 rpm's, 1/4" 3/8". and 1/2" they are very long bits and work very well..in a hand drill or drill press..
