Hello everyone. I am a newbie to woodworking and especially routers. I have already screwed up my brand new Milwaukee router by getting the 1/4 inch adapter stuck in it. I read in another thread to take the collet out and drive it out from below, but I don't know how to get the collet out. Ah well I guess I will learn.

Welcome to the router forum.

Thank you for joining us.

Do you have a service depot nearby that you could take your router to?

The collet should just screw out?

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

And thanks jw2170 for the idea. I was taking the router off the table and was going to call the service center tomorrow when I decided to play around with it. I got the collet to come out and fixed my router.

So thanks again.
