Default Hello everyone

Hi my name is Dan

Ive just bought a Black and decker 1200W 1/4" Router KW900EKA.
Its my first router and Ive bought it with the intention of building my own frames to display my artwork in to reduce the cost of framing as Im a student. Im open to learning other skills apart from making frames and look forward to learning from other members of this forum and fingers crossed getting to a stage where I can share what I learn with anyone else who is interested.
I dont know what else to say but hello and hopefully I can have a productive input to the forum at some stage

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum. I've built some picture frames for the same reason you are looking here, to save money. I did it with a horizontal mounted router and many passes with small bits. Ther are bit sets that are made for picture frames but most are 1/2" shanks. If you look at my downloads (by clicking on my user name) you will see how I went about it.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
