Default Hello! I'm new!

I'm teaching myself dove-tails on a guitar amp cabinet project and my Bosch 1617EVS quit half way through. There is a brand new baby Bosch Colt at work that also has problems with its variable speed. Decided even Bosch is now crap like everything else for sale in our brave new world. Was about to destroy it with a sledgehammer (seriously) and decided to look online for help. The router forum saved the Bosch from the hammer! Thank you!

Thomas, Bosch routers are my favorites. I was surprized to hear you had problems with them. Shoot me a message if you need help with one. Welcome to the forums.

I found here on the forum that the 1617 EVS has known switch problems and Bosch will send out a replacement at no cost. Although one post said that the replacement switch failed quickly as well...we'll see! Thanks Mike!
