Default Hello.

I am a newcomer to woodworking and this forum, and have limited physical reserves, but have a router and router table and in time hope to replace a broken raised panel door in our home. It has a curved raised panel--i.e., an oblong, sort of football shape to the raised panel. I have looked through dvds, online, and in a couple router books but can't find a method. Does anyone have a source that can help me?

Thank you all.

Bernie

Bernie can you post a picture of what you are trying to make? Typically you need a raised panel bit, and a 1/2 " router and a table with a starting pin in it. You use the pin to pivot the rounded part of the panel. The bearing on the router bit takes care of how far up the wood the bit will cut. MLCS sells the bits and may have a video on line.
