Default Bench top router table

I have a Sears router that had a bech top table with it. The router pooped the bed and guess what? My Black and Decker router won't fit the Sears table. My question is are there any plans for making my own bench top table? Money is very tight as with so many and I thought if I could make my own I could save money and be able to make changes as needed. Thanks for your help.

Herb, read the sticky threads for lots of useful information like building an economy table top under Table Mounted Routing.

Default Free plans

I just posted a link yesterday for a site that has free plans for all kinds of different router tables. There were a few bench top models.

Look under the router table heading.

I don't see any reason building your own should be a problem. I recently saw where one woodworker even made his own lift. If I can remember where I saw it I will repost.

Yes, but appreciate, that a small table unit is a compromise.
Perhaps you rout out of necessity and a compromise may be all you need.
