Default Introduction

I am joining because I have an interest in learning to make my own shutters (probably raised panel) for recently purchased circa 1845 home. I have very little experience in woodworking but want to learn, so came across this forum. Thanks!

Hi David; welcome! I envy you with your mid 19th century house!! That's a found treasure, eh(?). I love old homes.

Welcome David - sounds like a fun project for a great house. Since you found Router Forums you've got some internet savvy - start by cruising this site and others looking for how-to videos about raised panels. They're relatively simple to make with the right gear - table saw and router table. Don't worry when you screw up the first one - that's how you become expert. Good luck - let us know how they turn out.
