Default Hey all

Hi there

I'm a 32 yr old aerospace engineer, married with a 6month old baby boy. We just got a new house which has a brick workshop out back, and so am finally getting to do some woodwork thats not being done on the living room floor. I got given a router (+table!) by a colleague recently and so am now trying to work out what to do with it! Its a Plunge router, a B&Q performance power own brand (I'm uk based) but frees free, and a cheap ones better than none!

I havent done much woodwork since high school, most of my tool use has been DIY. I did build us some bedside tables last year as the house we were renting was so small the only way to get bedside tables for our bedroom was to make them to fit the gap!

anyways, thats me

look forward to learning some clever tricks off you all

John

Welcome to the forum John. I suspect many of us got into woodworking for similar reasons. One of my first efforts was a set of kitchen cupboards.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
