Default Intro from new member

Greeting.
I have just joined this forum. Although I have been a wood worker for 50+ years, I have not made much use of routers, although I do have a couple. I am now needing more knowledge of dovetail jigs. My poking about on the web has made me feel that the Akeda would be the best jig for my needs. As is sometimes the case, I know what I want, but I can't get it. Alas . . .
So I will be interested in any info on router jigs in general and Akeda jigs in particular. My thanks for any information regarding dovetail jigs and router use.

thank you,

Joe

Hey Joe. Welcome to the forums. You might get a faster response to your question if you post it in the "Jigs and Fixtures" forum. Personally, I've only tinkered with dovetails in my distant past and can't help you with the latest and greatest.

Hi Joe - welcome to the forum!

I own the P-C 4212 DT jig & the one by Keller - both work well - you might want to explore the forum for additional information - much available!

Also, give us some more information on your needs, e.g. why the Akeda option and also your price range - the cost of these jigs is rather broad, which has been a consideration for me? Enjoy & hope to see you posting - Dave
