Default Greetings from Ohio

I'm a retired Plumbing contractor (41 yrs) that enjoys working with wood, turning my shop into a wood working cave. Have the usual equipment set up, wood lathe, table saw, air power tools, drill press, welders, and 40 years of being a tool nut.
I enjoy all the different wood forums on the net, learning so much from all the input with people in the Industry/ Hobby. Looking forward to reading and learning form the router forum. Thank You .

Hi Opus139 - welcome to the forum!

Living in North Carolina since 1971, but born in Toledo and grew up in southern Michigan.

Curious about your choice of login names? I'm a classical music buff, so just curious if 'Opus 139' is a piece of music that you enjoy? Dave

Thank you for the reference to classic music, though I enjoy all classic music and opera from the 14th century to now the real reason for the handle has nothing to do with music. Back in the 80's there was a cartoon strip called Boom County with a penguin called Opus. I'm similar to him, a lot of chest, short legs, and like herring the 139 refers to the start of the address of my shop. In today's culture it's refreshing to find people that appreciate and enjoy the Classics . Have a great labor day week end. opus139

After working in the plumbing industry for 50 years the body wears out. Went into semi retirement at 64 and full retirement this year. Now my day is filled with friends , hobbies , learning new skills that where put off while running a business. Should have quite when I hit 55. Have a great day opus139

Greeting from Cleveland, retirement is great if you stay busy my day goes faster now than when I was working.

Just a little sidebar, as a kid making pin money cutting grass one of the neighbors was the Hope's ( Bob older brother) they had a small cottage motel for family use in Mt. Vernon called the Pines. I believe they sold it in the late 70' or early 80's after a storm damaged the grounds and building. just curious does it still exist? Have a great Labor Day opus139
