Aloha from the BigIsland!
I was very excited to find this forum. I am building my first ukelele, and consequently building an arsenal of tools and jigs for said project. What I am looking for is a jig for a dremel that will allow me to route the groove around the sound hole for rosetting. Any links and advice would be wonderful.
Mahalo,
mikel

Hi Mikel - welcome to the forum!

I've made a few instruments from kits (dulcimers for my wife to play) but love looking at & reading about new & old wood instruments (I even have a thread on a classical music forum on the topic).

Just for a start, I would suggest 'googling' the term luthier - you should get plenty of hits on groups and websites that deal w/ the needs of string instrument makers - as an example, take a look here for a Soundhole/Rosette Routing Jig
.

Good luck! Dave
