Default Newbie here

Hi All,
I;ve just signed up to the forum to read about what other routerers are doing. I've been routing on and off for about 15 years. I go through periods of no activity and periods of being very busy. I am currently making a single bed frame & headboard. I make stuff for fun and to save money. I generally use cheap materials because I can't afford to mess up with expensive stuff. I always try to incorporate a piece of reused material or at least an off cut from a previous project. I recently made a beside cabinet which used some wood that had been kicking around for at least 25 years !!!

I enjoy jig making, figuring out other peoples jigs and making them - but not for the sake of it, I must have a use for it. My jigs tend to be made from scraps and are often re-purposed into something else.

My router is a quarter inch Elu MOF 96e, used mostly with my homemade table (which was a shelf in a TV stand for many years)

Welcome to the forum Martin, it's nice to see that you have completed your public profile, so many newcomers fail to do that and wonder why they receive so few answers to their questions or ones that aren't relevant.
I left Manchester in 1964, where about are you?

Hi Harry, I am in Leeds though I am not a Yorkshireman, I am from County Durham originally.
